How it works

3-Bids.net is an easy and effective way for people to either find service providers or to find work. We decided on a model where employers will receive only the top 3 bids for their project. Other sites work by sending every bid to the employer. We decided against this as the vast majority of bids received are from under-qualified or inexperienced bidders. By using a point-based model, only serious, qualified bidders will be willing to bid enough points to be a top 3 bidder. Employers will know they are getting quality bids, instead of having to wade through dozens of bids. Providers who are well qualified will know that bidding a sufficient amount of points will get their bid sent to the employer. We believe the model works well for both parties involved. Below is the simple flow of a project on 3-Bids.net.

The Process

  1. Everyone must create an account
  2. The employer will create a project with details on what they want
  3. Service providers read the project and then bid on the project
  4. The top 3 bidders will have their bid details sent to the employer for their review
  5. Employers are strongly encouraged to respond to all 3 providers

The process is very simple and effective. Keeping the process simple was an important topic as we developed 3-Bids.net. At the same time, we wanted to create model that would help employers receive quality bids. We believe our model does this. If you have any comments or concerns, feel free to contact us.

Points NOTE: Until October 1, 2008 no points will be needed to bid on a project.
